This morning (28/05/2022) the National DIGITAL Distance Record for the 9cm band was broken, between Zilzie QG56jr (Central Queensland) back to Trevor VK4AFL in Brisbane QG62om

Using Q65-15B mode via Aircarft Scatter. Signals received were better than -12dB and loud enough at one point to be audible in the loudspeaker. Frequency used 3398.150 the reflections were from an Airbus A320 overhead Bundaberg at 40,000 ft. Tracking from Brisbane to Cairns. (JST 930).

Equipment used. 1m mesh dishes at both ends of path. 15 watts at VK4UH/p end and 40 watts at VK4AFL end.

Hopefully the results can be repeated again tomorrow during Microwave Activity Day.
